hi y'all!
yesterday i hosted a playdate at squatter's manse
for a couple of the girls' friends to
play & dye easter eggs.
it was adorbs, of course; we ate cupcakes (gluten free!) that had delicious icing, cookies with pink and yellow chocolate chips, jellybeans
and marshmallow-shaped chickens
doused with cheap sugar.
my teeth hurt.
since david & i are living bi-coastally right now, i had to temporarily put the kibosh on over-the-top events for us unless of course its a super special one. (i am obviously still doing over-the-top parties
for clients, however!)
here are some photos of the mini fete:
(aren't they ridiculously adorable?!)
it was wonderful. and completely easy, affordable, & created mostly with stuff i had on hand.
(DOH! i forgot to take pics of the little craft table i set up for the kids to do the dyeing on... grrr.)
moving on...
i found a bunch of super cute easter-y ideas, crafts, free printables, etc., that i had planned on using, but didn't have the opportunity to bc of bunny
being sick earlier in the week.
my time that would have been spent creating
was spent loving.
worth it. :)
(kidless? seeking elegant easter inspiration, sans kraft paper, pipe cleaners, glitter & glue?
skip to the end, yous.)
here is the roundup for you to use should you find yourself in need of last minute ideas!
hostess with the mostess featured a darling vintage easter brunch with free printable goodies by In Good Company from south africa.

you could easily whip up cookies like this, and i am especially loving the cylindrical wine glasses with celery & carrot sticks & dip in front of the
picket fence! awesome.
of course, the incredible amy atlas shared tons of easter-themed, adorable parties this week. some of my fave images, full of ideas are by marcie of celebrating moments:
love em!
ok, now for some free swag...
catch my party has a huge roundup of different colors & styles of cupcake toppers, gift tags, etc.
go here and check em out!
martha is offering a zillion adorable ideas, natch, but here are my faves:

here's a super cute bunny i would cut out en masse and make a big ol bunting with...
finally, operation shower has some beautiful printables that they're offering for free as well!
not only because my brother is in the army
(hooah! love you bra!), but also because of the wonderful work they do, i totally admire this
amazing organization.
operation shower is about celebrating and honoring military families. Operation Shower provides baby showers for military families to ease the burden of deployment.
for those of you without little ones at home, but who still want to entertain and share a beautiful meal with family and friends, here's
my dreamy inspiration:
